Chris is a former NCAA Division I Collegiate and U.S. Olympic Wrestler. During his time at the University of Iowa, Chris became a three-time All-American and two-time NCAA National Champion, winning back-to-back titles in 1976 and 1977. During his international career for Team USA, Chris won gold at the World Championships in 1981, silver in 1990, and a bronze medal at the 1992 Summer Olympics. Chris currently practices law.
